Hey Heroes! On the latest episode of Hero’s Journey, I talked to Kshitiz (“Kevin”) Moktan from the “immigrindcore” band Chepang.

Kevin is a guitarist for Chepang, and helped coin the term “immigrindcore” to showcase the band members’ identities as immigrants to the US.

Chepang makes blistering grindcore music with Nepali pop samples, you may know them from their song “Stacked” with Aelk Minsur, and their new album “Jhyappa” comes out May 23rd.

We talked more in-depth about "immigrindcore," why he prefers the recording process to playing live, the band's upcoming album "Jhyappa,” and more!
