Jake Chapman is a Los Angeles-based mallet percussionist, composer, and teacher known for his mastery of the vibraphone, marimba, and other mallet instruments. A Columbia University graduate, he has worked with various artists and ensembles, blending jazz, classical, and contemporary influences into his dynamic performances. Beyond performing, Jake is also a music content creator, sharing musical comedy videos on his YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
In the episode, we talked about how his song "an angel will be with you shortly" was heavily remixed and even turned into a rap song, what a live Jake Chapman show might look like, balancing short-form content creation with making music as an art, and more!
